Applet Compatibility Test http://www.ipix.com(iPIX - Immersive Imaging) produces the below error message in Java Console when applet is refreshed for 1.5.0_11-b03 on Windows XP,2Kpro with IE6 & IE7 . This error is not seen when executed with MSVM . Though the error is displayed on Java console the functionality of the applet works fine. This issue is seen on Win XP Pro,Win 2Kpro,Win Vista b6001 on intel x86 machines with 32 bit jvm.
The exception is seen even on 1.5.0_11-b01,1.5.0_FCS and 1.5.0_11-b03.

Java Console Message:
java.lang.NullPointerException
 at sun.font.FontDesignMetrics.stringWidth(Unknown Source)
 at IpixViewer.start(Unknown Source)
 at sun.applet.AppletPanel.run(Unknown Source)
 at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

Steps to reproduce:
1. Install Sun Jre 1.5.0_11-b03 and make sure it registers plugins with browser (IE6 & IE7).Enable Java Console to display in Java Control Panel.
2. Go to URL http://www.ipix.com
3. Click on 'See Demo' under 'Immersive Imaging'..
4. Use the mouse as instructed to see 360 image, zoom in and out, etc.
5. Try to Refresh the chat applet windows.
6. While interacting with applet in the browser check in Java console output.
7. Check for error/warnings in Java Console.

While loading & refreshing the applet, ‘General Exception’ window is displayed. Below is the exception displayed in the Java Console & ‘General Exception’ window. Able to interact with the applet even after exception is thrown.
