Vista: Gap between each JMenu, between selection and menu title, is not matching with Native Menu

XMLWordPrintable

OS Info: Windows Vista Ultimate 6000

      Build Info: 6.0 U01 - b02

There are still some differences between the JMenu and the Native Menu.

      * Gap between each Menu on JMenuBar
When you compare with the Native Menu, the gap between each Menu in JMenuBar is quite different. In Native the gap is bit more, so that the look wise it's better. This is exactly same in XP Win LAF and on GTK LAF.

For more information please refer the attached screen shot menu_gap_vista.png. If you look at the Screen shot, you can see the difference between the Menu in Wordpad and the Menu in Menu Test.

      * Gap between the Selection Border and Menu Title is more in Native Menu
After selecting a Menu in JMenuBar, insets between set between the selection border and menu title are more in Native Menu. In JMenu it's not same for both the left and right side of the Menu title. So there is a difference in between the selection of Native and JMenu.

Please refer the attached screen shots for more difference.
