      Short description :

JVM crashes intermittently when socket calls are made

      Full problem description:

The java.net calls made using IPv6.
The JVM cores when a socket call such as getHostName is used.
The core shows this in common - C [libnet.so+0x6596] Java_java_net_Inet6AddressImpl_getHostByAddr+0x220.
This may or may not be related to IPv6 but it shows up in the core files.

Core file and hs_err logs are collected for analysis.
This cannot be produced consistently. In range of over 200 servers, customer has seen 6 JVM crashes since Jan 22.

It is not possible for customer to test with the latest release of jdk 1.5.
And they need our help to root cause the problem.
