PAC approved removing the MSLU library in JDK7, which will mean that Win98/ME will not be supported (and even stronger, the JRE will not run on those platforms once I18n has made this change).
We need to detect Win98/95/ME and not install/update the JRE/JDK if running on those platforms.
The JDK7 PRD ( http://oracleplan.oracle.com/goto?ra_=report&resourceKey=617758580#_toc2.1.1.1 ) says that the supported Windows platforms are:
XP SP3
Vista SP2
Server 2008 SP2 [I have asked if this is a typo and should be Server 2003 SP2]
