Open a JFileChooser under Windows Look and Feel on XP. Click on the "My Recent Documents" folder on the left. Look at the file list and compare against the native file chooser. The view is different.
The differences are:
a) native file dialog automatically switches to the details view, when navigated to the Recent folder;
b) the Recent folder has another column set;
c) there's no "directories first" sorting in native file dialog.
