Synopsis : Issue with Installation of Weblogic Platform 81SP6 on Solaris SPARC with Sun JDK 1.4.2_13



Problem Data :

     Customer is reporting that, using SUN JDK 1.4.2_13, WLS 81 SP6 does not install the
     sample domain. They reported that 1.4.2_07 and 1.4.2_12 worked before.

Java Version : JDK 1.4.2_13

Operating System : Solaris 9 and 10 On x86 platform.

Steps To Reproduce the Issue :

     To reproduce this issue on Solaris x86, installer (pj_platform816_generic.jar) can be downloaded from :
       Link : http://commerce.bea.com/showallversions.jsp?family=WLS

     Need to choose all versions and then under WebLogic Server Package Installer choose
     WebLogic Server/Express 8.1 with SP6 for Sun Solaris(9, 10, x86) and use the following command to install

     java -jar pj_platform816_generic.jar -log=error.log
    
     Previously, there was a similar issue between JDK 1.4.2_08 and _09 also.

     Wherein, in the above Bug its for pj_server814_generic.jar with 1.4.2_08.
     But now its while trying with pj_server816_generic.jar with jdk 1.4.2_13.
     
     Since 1.4.2_12 also worked, There must be some change in 1.4.2_13 causing this issue.
