JFileChooser Icons for certain file types differ from the new icon scheme in Vista FileChooser.
Steps to reproduce:
1) Open any native application, say WordPad, open the filechooser and browse to following folders on a Vista machine:
"C:\Users\Public\Videos\Sample Videos"
"C:\Users\Public\Pictures\Sample Pictures"
"C:\Users\Public\Music\Sample Music"
2)Run the FileChooserDemo and browse to the same above folders.
In the Native FileChooser File View the file icons appear as a small thumb nail for each file. As a result each icon is unique and is a very small preview to each file - whether it is a jpeg, or an audio or a video file.
In JFiileChooser all jpeg files have the same icon to represent these files.
This Icon matches the jpeg file icon in the Windows Explorer but not with what is visible in the Native FileChooser.
This behavior was observed on a 32-Bit Windows Vista Ultimate 6k with jdk7, 6u2-b03 and also 6b104.
Images are attached for reference.
