      FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_01-b06)
Java Hotspot(TM) Client VM (build 1.6.0_01-b06, mixed mode, sharing)
(that's from another machine with a local install of the same version)

      ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
      Microsoft Windows 2000 [Version 5.00.2195]

      EXTRA RELEVANT SYSTEM CONFIGURATION :
P: drive is a shared SAN attached storage using StorNext software.

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Cannot install Windows to a large shared filesystem. Windows shows the filesystem (drive P:) with a capacity of 3.55 TB (terabytes) and free space of 1.88 TB. The Windows JDK installer won't let me install on that drive. The installer shows the disk size as -457 GB (yes, negative 457 GB) and the Available size as -111 GB.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Try to install on a really large filesystem. Not able to test where the cutoff point is - 32 bits maybe?

      EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
      EXPECTED -
Expect to see correct sizes and allowable install.
      ACTUAL -
Negative disk sizes and an unsuccessful install

      REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.

      CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
      Install on a smaller drive.
