Java 1.4.2 jmap and serviceability tools can attach to JVMs using Concurrent Mark and Sweep GC, since 6388190.
But interoperability between 1.4.2 tools and JVMs on different update revisions is harmed as a consequence. i.e. 1.4.2_13's jmap cannot attach to a 1.4.2_08 process. 1.4.2_12's jmap can attach.
