There is a test 4995502:
Unintall all the installed Plug-in from the test machine
Instructions:
1. Open a Dos prompt window and
2. Install test JRE/Java plug-in sliently as followv
<jre installation .exe> /v"AUTOUPDATECHECK=0"
3. Open any browser and load the following page
http://jpseuwt-ap/testcases/142/Plug-inTag.html
Should get a prompt asking if JavaAutoUpdate should be enabled.
Options on the Warning Message are 'Yes' , 'No', 'Ask Me later'.
Make sure that 'jusched' process is not running
4. Clicking on 'Yes' would enable future autoupdate checking & also
starts the scheduler(jusched) right away.
User will not be prompted again.
5. Clicking on 'No', would disable the autoupdate checking & user
is not prompted again in this installation of jre.
'jusched' should NOT start
6. Clicking on 'Ask Me Later' would prompt the user again in
a new browser session with the same dialog.
Check:
If it works as mentioned in step 4 to step 6 - test PASSED
otherwise - test FAILED
It was tested for 1.6.0_u3. No any window with a prompt asking if JavaAutoUpdate was.
Looks like this test is not actual for 1.6.0
Does this test actual for 1.6.0 too?
