ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :

Requires alt gr'-¨ to enter
'~' is a the alt position of the '¨' key
This is not the same but similar to bugs 4957562 , 4935357 .
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Start the NotePad demo, like:
java -jar <path to install dir>/demo/jfc/Notepad/Notepad.jar
Pressing '~' (alt gr-¨) does not inserted anything (or only a ' ' as a matter of fact). In a similar fashion 'ã' cannot be entered.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
