My home PC told me a new version of Java was available, so I decided to give
it a try. My PC is a normal Windows XP SP 2 machine.
Here are some issues I found:
- Java Setup - Progress window
It says:
You are installing Java. Java is found everywhere ...
Problems:
- the font is messed up. It is fuzzy and some strokes darker than others
- Java is not a noun. Seems like legal or ?? should review the wording.
- I got a Symantec firewall popup saying that
MsiExec.exec, outbound, to sjremetrics.java.com, https,
I didn't respond to this box and after awhile, the install completed anyway.
- Java Setup -Complete window
It says Thank You! ....
- the text font looks good now
- but the 'Sun Microsystems' and Sun logo are fuzzy.
- the cup and steam aren't too good either.
