PROBLEM DESCRIPTION

Java console: French language "set trace level" function does not give any output in the console.

On French keyboard, there 3 ways to get numbers:

1. Pressing any number key on the numeric pad
   => did not work

2. Holding the shift key while pressing any number key in the main
   keyboard (keys that are above the letters)
   => did not work

3. Pressing Caps Lock before pressing any number key in the main
   keyboard (keys that are above the letters)
   => this is the only way possible to get the messages displayed.


STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Download and extract the java build on a French System.set PATH to
   java

2. Go to ControlPanel -> Advanced -> Check on "Show Console"

3. Open IE Browser

4. Click Tools -> Java Console

5. Try the above options mentioned using a French keyboard when trying
   to set trace options from 1-5.
   => Problem seen for the first two options.
