start a java application using plugin throws does not support plugin

      firefox 2.11
      application : SJS IM client

      when i start my application ( Sun Java System Instant Messaging ) from firefox 2.11 using java plugin , i get a error in poopped up saying "The new Java Plug-in requires a very recent version of firefox browser"
