JDK-2199165 | 7 | Andy Herrick | P3 | Closed | Fixed | b64 |
jucheck.exe is still running even after java is uninstalled from the user machine.
How to reproduce
1.) Silent install of JRE 6u10
2.) Make the changes for Autoupdate/Manual update
3.) Wait for Java Update notification dialog.
4.) Now Close the Java Control Panel (incase of manual update)
5.) Now without closing Java Update notification dialog.
6.) Perform Silent Uninstall
Actual Behaviour
Jucheck is still running, Sometime we have found the Jusched.exe will also be running in the window process list. If you kill Jucheck from the window process list, you can still see the icon remains in the system tray. To remove icon from tray, you need to move mouse on it.
Expeted Behaviour
Jucheck and Jusched should be killed/removed from the window process list. No System tray icon should exist.
This is blocking our Automation script to function properly. Hence very critical for beta. This issue has been mostly seen on VISTA, but in XP also it has been observed.
