Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.3.0_02)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.3.0_02, mixed mode)

An application with a JTextField and a JButton is run with
Linux (RedHat 6.1 and 7.0) and JRE 1.3.0_002.

If the JButton is clicked with a mouse before using a
Japanese input method to enter text into the JTextField
      [whose contents are then "processed"],
      the application will hang.

A Japanese input uses kinput2 of canna [Kana]
      correspondence.

The problem does not appear in the IBM JRE1.3.0.

The problem can be seen in the SwingSet2 demo.
