Verified
unpack200.exe warning dialog popped up by windows vista while downloading bundles using java kernel.
To reproduce:
- install 6u10 b10 java kernel on a Vista machine;
- before java kernel has downloaded everything, open the IE browser and load a java applet
While components are being downloaded, if you see the unpack200.exe warning dialog (see attached jpg file for a screenshot), the problem is reproduced.
In order to suppress the dialog, the following needs to be done:
- add a registry key to the following location:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Low Rights\ElevationPolicy
- sign the unpack200.exe
- add a manifest to the unpack200.exe
