Tested OS/browser:
-Windows Vista (32 bit- enabled UAC)- business/ IE 7
Tested builds:
- jre 6u10-b09 (promoted build)
- deployment nightly build of 01/07/2008:
(/java/deployment/nightly/1.6.0_10/nightly/2008-01-07/windows-i586/jre-6u10-fcs-bin-b411-windows-i586-p-07_jan_2008.exe)
Problem: When reloading the applet by using Javascript repeatedly (every 5 seconds), there are multiple co-existed java consoles. The issue only occurs if using the next-generation Java Plug-in. There should be only one java console as in the case of using the classic Java Plug-in on the same machine for the same test case.
Steps to reproduce:
------------------
1) Make sure to select the 'Show console' option for Java console.
2) Using IE 7 to load:
http://jsqalab.sfbay/results/sqenfs-1/export1/comp/stt/st2/jpi2/tc410/TC04-10_Top.html
3) Click 'Launch' button
4) Automatically, the page is open and close every 5 seconds repeatedly.
After a few minutes, you will see multiple co-existed Java console in the case of
plugin 2 mode.
Within a short period of running time (~ < 20 minutes), there are more than 10 co-existed java consoles on the screen. This behaviour only occurs in plugin 2 mode (not old classic plugin) and it might likely raise the concern for users.
