Firefox users who has the latest public j2re 1.3.1_20 and download/install jre 6u5. After installing 6u5 successfully, they still can't use 6u5 with their Firefox which still recognizes and uses j2re 1.3.1_20. This problem doesn't occur if using IE browser on the same systems as IE uses 6u5 as expectecd.

Tested OS: XP-pro(sp2)/ XP-home(sp2)
       Browsers: FF 2.0.0.12, IE 6
                 (sanity check on FF 3-beta)


Steps to reproduce:
------------------
1) Install j2re-1.3.1_20-windows-i586.exe
2) Install jre 6u5 (from java.com or java.sun.com)
3) The test system should have both j2re 1.3.1_20 and jre 6u5 installed and the
java -version/java -fullversion from the command line should indicate java version 1.6.0_05
4) Make sure to close all the FF/ IE sessions or any other application on the test system that might be using Java.
5) Open Firefox 2.0.0.12, and invoke one (or all) of the following applets.

- http://java.sun.com/applets/jdk/1.4/demo/applets/ArcTest/example1.html
- http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
(click "VERIFY INSTALLATION")
- http://java.com/en/games/desktop/trafficjammerjx.jsp
(Click "TRY IT NOW!")
- http://java.com/en/games/desktop/tropicalswaps.jsp
(Click "TRY IT NOW!")

Expected behaviour: Firefox should load applets using JRE version 1.6.0_05
Actual behaviour: Firefox loads applets using JRE version 1.3.1_20

This problem doesn't occur using IE browser. If you use IE 6 to do the very same above steps, IE loads applets using JRE version 1.6.0_05 which is correct expected behaviour.
