The problem was reported at http://forums.java.net/jive/message.jspa?messageID=263274 that offline JRE installer with sponsor offering failed to access the sp1028.MST file.

At first, I also suspected that the firewall was blocking the download of the MST file. However, after testing again with a machine with a direct connection, this was confirmed to be not the case. That's why I said downloading of the MST file failed with no reason. This is what I see in the log (with some info masked out with ******):

The first Chinese message above is equivalent to the following English message:
Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid.

It is mentioned at
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/error_applying_transforms.xml
but the cause of the problem is unknown.

The second Chinese message just said installation failed.

Any idea on what is "failed with last error 12150"?

Regarding the Google toolbar, sorry, I might have mistaken. I can't see the Google toolbar because installation of JRE failed right at the beginning. Nothing got installed. That's why anything that comes with JRE could not be installed.

EDIT:
I finally installed the file with "-s" on one machine with direct connection to the Internet. No, it didn't ask me if I want to install the Google toolbar and I can't find the Google toolbar anywhere after the installation.

Then I relocate the machine behind a firewall, un-installed 6u5, reboot and re-install it again.

1st time re-install - successful.
2nd time re-install - without logging in the firewall (yes, we need to login to gain outgoing access), failed
3th time re-install - after logging in the firewall, failed
4th, 5th, 6th .... - all failed
