A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
The cursors displayed in swing applications under linux GNOME do not match those set in the operating system if not the defaults.
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Change the operating systems cursors
- System > Preferences > Mouse [Pointers]
Run one of the java jfc demos
- cd /usr/java/default/
- jre/bin/java -jar demos/jfc/SampleTree/SampleTree.jar
Move your mouse into the java window content.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
The cursors should match those set on the operating system
ACTUAL -
The cursor reverts to the default cursor for the os theme.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
