1.4.2_17-rev-b11 (j4b) turns off the Auto update option as expected. However, after it is uninstalled from the system, the previous enabled Auto update option of the earlier j2re 1.4.2_xx version (where x < 17) can't be reinstated (it is still disabled unexpectedly)

Tested OS: XP-pro(sp2)
       Build: j2refb-1_4_17-rev*-p.exe/ j2re-1.4.2_16-fcs/ j2re-1.4.2_15-fcs

Steps to reproduce:
------------------
1) Install j2re-1.4.2_16-fcs version (in general, any earlier j2re1.4.2_xx fcs version)
2) Go to Java Plug-in Control Panel and make sure that "Advanced Setting" option from the Update tab is ENABLED
3) Install j2refb-1_4_17-rev*-p.exe
4) Go to Java Plug-in Control Panel and make sure that "Advanced Setting" option from the Update tab is DISABLED (as expected)
5) Uninstall 1.4.2_17 version
6) Go to Java Plug-in Control Panel and if you see "Advanced Setting" option DISABLED, the problem is reproducible.

The Java Plug-in Control Panel in step 6 is 1.4.2_16 control panel and therefore its "Advanced Setting" option from the Update tab should be ENABLED as it does in step 2. Reboot the machine after each step doesn't make the problem go away.
