The licensee is trying to use silent install with their app server to install JDK 1.5_12, on a windows system that has 1.4.2.x installed as the default for other applications. When they use the silent install, it overwrites the default JRE to be 1.5.

This RFE is a request to add an option to the silent installer such that the copy over to the system directory of java.exe/javaw.exe/javaws.exe does not happen. This would allow the default (previous) JRE installation to stay the same and thus the version of Java that all current applications currently use does not change.
