After the JRE setup completes, the dialog may display text if a browser or multipe browsers need to be restarted. The text at a minimum has a typo and it does not say that both Internet Explorer and Firefox need to be restarted. Users could assume that just the browser they used to download / install Java needs to be restarted. They could lose data in the other browser.
Steps:
- Install a previous release JRE release.
- Open applets in IE and Firefox
- Install 6u10 JRE
- At the end of the installation, a dialog will be displayed with "Restart my browser now to verify installation".
The typo should be fixed: "Restart my browser now to verify installation" should at least say "Restart my browsers now to verify installation",
and I think it should say both IE and Firefox will be restarted as in:
"Restart my Internet Explorer and Firefox browsers now to verify installation"
