It is impossible to launch OpenOffice (Base) and SparkAngels (a Java game) with the default configuration of BitDefender Internet Security 2009,
The error message shows that the JRE is not correct and that the source "Calendar" cannot be reached and that Java is not installed.
- Those errors have been obtained with Java 1.6.0_07.
The OS are Windows XP, Vista 32bits and the reason has been identified as being the latest update (September) of BitDefender Internet Security 2009.
- Workaround :
Bitdefender Antivirus has 3 levels of security : Agressive, Default, Tolerant
Antivirus is set to Default level when purchased.
This Default level scans the Web traffic and obviously block the .jar files and other Java based components.
If we change the security level to Tolerant, which means no more traffic scan, SparkAngels can be launched properly.
However, even with Tolerant level OppenOffice (Base) cannot be launched.
