VS2008 errors compiling jdk sources

    Description

      Changes needed to build jdk using the Visual Studio 2008 compiler.
      These changes will preserve compatability with VS2003.

      The jdk Makefiles are imported by other repositories as well, so these changes are also required elsewhere.
