Invalid patch file error installing jre1.4.2_07

      User tried a number of different steps to resolve this, including:
      · Restarting the PC
      · Uninstalling previous versions of Java
      · Installing to a different directory
      · Obtaining a fresh copy of the offline installer from Sun’s website
      · Using a known working copy of the installer
