Actually there are multiple issues. First issue starts with something already mentioned here : 6828488.

If we ignore the issue that jdk is not re-installed yet, and proceed with what fx installer is offering, then it pops up the screen of Remove/Modify/Repair. If I press Remove here, it opens up the filedialog in system32 folder. If I press cancel there, it just says that installer ended prematurely.

After this jdk install starts.
I tried the same steps , just changed the fx installer option to repair in place of remove and same issue again
Another scenario where same issue crops up.
1. Install fx and jdk using cobundle
2. Try re-install using cobundle
3. It will ask that you have jdk already installed, would u want to re-install it.
4. Say no.
5. Proceed with fx installer.
6. Again if you do remove here, it opens up a filedialog box, in system32 directory.

So doesn't matter if we choose to re-install jdk or not, bur proceeding with fx installer and doing a remove will lead to same issue.
