When SUNWj5 package is installed, <JRE>/lib/servicetag/servicetag file is not created automatically and, hence, ST instance is also not created. Though manual registration via com.sun.servicetag.Installer class works fine. Issue is not present for self-extracting .sh bundles, and it is not present on other platforms as well. It is also not present in the PIT build with ST feature backported at /net/nightsvr.sfbay/export5/test/ServiceTag.
