Using the latest Google Chrome browser, java.com version check fails to detect the existing jre 6u13 on the system. We haven't officially supported Chrome but this definitely will create an issue for Chrome users coming to java.com.
Tested OS: Windows Vista home premium (sp1)
Browser: Google Chrome- (version 2.0.172.8)
Steps to reproduce:
------------------
1) Install jre 6u13 onto the test system.
2) Using Chrome browser, browse java.com
3) Click 'Do I hava Java?'
If you see "Oops! You don't have the recommended Java installed", then the issue is reproducible.
It appears that check detects the family version (Java 6) but fails to realize the latest update available (6u13) which is the latest. The landing page is
