1. Install a previous consumer JRE release (6u10 – 6u17) that can be patched by the current build

2. open IE, but do not open any java content (applet) in the browser.

3. Install online bundle of 6u18. In complete dialog, there is the "Restart my browser now to complete the installation" checkbox

4. Uncheck the checkbox. There will be the "Java Setup - Restart Browser" messagebox.
