Only and strong wish for Java right now is to support the platform's standard file chooser.

The current AWT implementation needs an update to support multiple file selection.

With single file selection we simply cannot use it for our application.
Now we have to use the Swing version (JFileChooser) which has an XP look and feel.

Windows7 and Windows Vista users expect their file chooser to match what they have on their platform.

Any timeline for improvements to the file chooser?}
