A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
This problem was introduced in Java 1.6.0_18-b07. The code works fine for Java 6 update 17 and later. If I successfully log into our tomcat 5.5 web server using JAAS authentication and open a new window. The new window does not pick up the session from the other window. It prompts the user to login again. This is problematic for our application because our code has links that open a new window to display the content. Now the user is prompted to login everytime they click on a link.


REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
