Plug-in is not registered correctly with Internet Explorer. One test case to demonstrate the issue is to install the jre and still unable to play the applet game using Internet Explorer

* Tested build: jdk 7- PIT build (b990)

*** Steps to reproduce:
1) Install the pit jre-b990 at
http://rehudson.sfbay.sun.com/hudsonws/deploy/qepickup/b990-2010-09-07_33/windows-i586/jre-7-ea-bin-b990-windows-i586-07_sep_2010.exe

2) Make sure to check the 'Microsoft Internet Explorer' box from JCP-->Advanced-->Settings-->Default Java for browsers

3) Using IE8, invoke the yahoo game applet
http://games.yahoo.com/console/bo

If you don't see the applet loaded due to the reason that IE can not recognize the installed plug-in, the the issue is reproducible

You can try other yahoo game applets such as: Addiction Solitaire, Alchemy, Aloha Solitaire and the same issue occurs. The problem does not occur if using promoted jre7-b109

There is no problem to play the load the above game applets on the same systems using Firefox
