The selection of enabling the next-generation Java Plug-in can not be saved
Tested OS: XP, Vista, Win 7
build: jre 7-pit-b990
*** Steps to reproduce:
1) Install the jre 7-pit-b990 from
http://rehudson.sfbay.sun.com/hudsonws/deploy/qepickup/b990-2010-09-07_33/windows-i586/jre-7-ea-bin-b990-windows-i586-07_sep_2010.exe
2) Open the Java control panel, go to Advanced--> Java Plug-in and check the box next to 'Enable the next-generation Java Plug-in...'
3) You should see the message the selection takes place the next time the invvoke the browser
4) Re-open the Java control panel, go to Advanced--> Java Plug-in and if you see the box next to 'Enable the next-generation Java Plug-in...' unchecked again, then the problem is reproducible
