With the integration of the new non-flattening OpenJDK rasterizer in build 118, the dashing performance took a hit compared to the old flattening version, though non-dashed curve stroking and filling are much faster now.
Some work to minimize the costs of computing and managing the curve lengths can offset or eliminate this performance hit for dashing.
