The xrender pipeline was added relatively late in JDK 7 and it took until
even later to work out some kinks. Since it offers a lot of performance
for some cases, it is desirable to enable it very early in JDK 8 so
it gets more exposure and we can know whether it can be left on for GA.
As with other pipelines whether its actually enabled will depend on
