Dialog from pic2 shows for a fraction of a second, then disappears
(Used screen capture utility to create take a movie of the process so could slow the process down enough to see it.)

The only thing can do is choose cancel.
Dialog from pic3 shows now, even though the process was canceled

Attached the list of the thread information(threads.txt) submitter captured using jconsole and copy/paste the info from every thread in the webstart application.
      More information from submitter:

Had Java7 installed, but disabled java 7 jre from the Java app in
the Windows Control Panel. This made webstart run the app under
the older JRE. Running the app, and allowing Java 7 as an enabled JRE,
it did not work. But when the Java 7 JRE was enabled, the app failed
      with secure connection.

      Steps to reproduce:

      java version "1.7.0_02-ea"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_02-ea-b05)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 22.0-b02, mixed mode, sharing)
should give you the problem cate, but with the IP address
instead of the host name, webstart (rightly) complains.

1> Clean the Java cache by selecting “Settings…” on the General tab,
         and then “Delete files…”
2> Launch app by selecting “Login to the OCIE Viewer” and
Go through the dialogs to start the app.
3> App will fail with Error creating secure connection
      4> Exit
      5> Launch app again.
6> This time, unless double dialog thing will happen.

JRE 7 enabled (Got Error created secure connection)
      Java Web Start
Using JRE version 1.7.0_02-ea-b05 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM

JRE 7 not enabled (Successful SSL connection)
      Java Web Start
Using JRE version 1.6.0_24-b07 Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM

Java Console log files attached(Java6Success.txt, Java7Fail.txt)
