A DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUEST :
The xrender java2d backend uses a few utility functions to convert between java datatypes and datatypes used internally by X11, or clamp their value range.

Those functions are written in a clumsy and inefficient way and should be improved to be shorter and more efficient.

JUSTIFICATION :
to clean up the xrender pipeline's code and make its execution more efficient
