The issue is very close to what 7144207 describes. I run any applet in dual screen environment and while I typing something (sometimes it happens during startup), the text will suddenly disappear.

The fix for 7154505 resolves the issue in standalone mode but, with the fix applied, I still can reproduce the same issue in dual screen environment with applets.
