JDK-2226474 | 7u6 | Scott Kovatch | P3 | Closed | Fixed | b17 |
The general tab of the Java control panel has three "sections", and they should appear in this order:
* About
* Network Settings
* Temporary Internet Files
However, they are now appearing as follows:
* About
* Temporary Internet Files
* Network Settings
This could throw users off and should be returned to the original order.
Also, on Windows, the following visual issues have been observed:
* The window size is too wide. It should be reduced to about 450px wide
* The border around the tab pane should have a 5px margin on the left and right.
* The window is too tall. There should be less white space below the last section. However, the height should be sufficient to show the Update tab without cutting off any content or causing scrolling.
