This problem happens in windows 7 zh_CN or windows 7 zh_TW.
Platform: windows 7 i586 S. Chinese
Java: JRE 7u2 i586
Open Java Control Panel and go to update tab. Click button "update" to invoke the notification dialog.
The full stop mark in the end of the text is displayed as question mark.
In http://javadl-esd.sun.com/update/1.7.0/au-descriptor-1.7.0_05-b05.xml, that full stop mark is there in the section of zh_CN, but it's not displayed correctly in the notification dialog.
Attached is the screen shot. Same problem also happens in zh_TW, but not in any other locale.
Also reproducible in Japanese. It looks like an issue in handling the multibyte text on <description>. The first period was rendered properly. Only the last character was not rendered.
