any version of Java 7
ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
Windows xp professional, Windows 7 professional.
EXTRA RELEVANT SYSTEM CONFIGURATION :
Enterprise on domain.
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Java will not load for any users with limited rights. Only users who have Administrative rights can run Java.
REGRESSION. Last worked in version 6u31
STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
1. Set up a Active Directory Domain
2. Join a computer with Windows XP Pro or Win 7 Pro to the domain
3. Install Java 7 to that computer
4. Log on as user with power user rights on local machine only.
5. Launch any java applet.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
Either Java will not load or you will be asked to instal java to run the applet.
ACTUAL -
Either Java will not load or you will be asked to instal java to run the applet.
ERROR MESSAGES/STACK TRACES THAT OCCUR :
no error messages.
REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.
