The introduction of threading in the installation process resulted in the identity of the parent thread (Download class) being attached to the error which actually comes from the child thread. This inaccuracy in error reporting has contributed to a misunderstanding of Download Dialog error rate patterns. Fixing this error handling will enable better insight on user behavior and cancellation rates in particular.
