Name of the applet: Simpana 9.0 web console from CommVault (http://www.commvault.com/simpana-software/capabilities/backup-and-recovery)
The application is called Simpana 9.0, from ComVault.
It is a enterprise backup solution that is install internally in the company.
There is no link on the internet to the console.

Bug description:
The application company only support Java 6u17 (and not 6u19 as earlier specified),
because of problems with newer version of Java.
But the application can start if I use Java 6u35.

The current releases of Java updates have introduced several issues with the Console GUI
and CommNet GUI. CommVault has identified changes to Java that are impacting its function
for version 1.6.0_19 (1.6.0_19-b04), 1.6.0_20 ( 1.6.0_20-b02), 1.6.0_21 ( 1.6.0_21-b06)
as well as a bug introduced starting in version 1.6.0_18.
Current Java release 1.6.0_33 (1.6.0_33-b04) (6u33) does not contain a fix for the
version 1.6.0_18 checkbox bug.

As of July 2011 all Java 1.7.0_xxx versions are not supported for all current and
previous versions of CommVault Software (Current Versions 7.0, 8.0 or 9.0)

Steps to reproduce:
I just try to open the Simpana console, from a link http://<servername>/console
Then this is entered into IE, it is starting to download the 'Galaxy.jnlp',
and it start it automatic, and then a Java spashscreen is shown, when it is working,
And then the application show a login screen.

But on a computer with Java 7u7, it is starting to download the 'Galaxy.jnlp',
and when it start it, it crash the Java/applet, and does not show any thing on the screen,
but you can see the crash in the event application log

There is no error on the screen, the application is not starting up.
It only show in a blink that it is downloading the 'galaxy.jnlp' file.

Note: Oracle support was not able to reproduce this internally.
