Bug description: A user reported the following "I'm having critical issues with my bank. I'm blind, I'm using Mac with all the latest software and the build-in screenreader called Voiceover. Java was usable until version 6, but version 7 and later is totally inaccessible. I could switch back to version 6 then version 7 was released, but now my bank have upgraded their system, so now it only works with Java version 7.
When the login screen comes up, Voiceover won't read anything. I can't gain keyboard focus on the username and password fields, and pressing tab won't work as well. There is Access Bridge in Windows which works great with screenreaders, but on Mac there is nothing. Why has java version 7 become totally inaccessible to those who are using a screenreader? What do we do to access our bank? I'm just sitting here in a desperate hurry, and I need to log into my bank to transfer money and read important documents.
I have spoke to other blind people, and they are in the same boat as me. There are more than 300.000 blind people world wide, and many of us do have a Mac. How do we access our bank? What do we do?
I have contacted my bank for any assistance, but they can't do anything. They only door to get on the system is by logging in using the Java window. So, you really need to catch up on this, otherwise, a huge group of blind people won't be able to access their bank.
I really hope you can come up with a quick solution. How would you react if the access to your bank suddenly got blocked?"
Steps to reproduce:
1: Install the latest version of Java on a Mac running Mountain Lion.
2: launch Voiceover.
3: Bring up a login window in a Java program and try to log in, only using Voiceover. Don't use the mouse.
