      JavaFX applets do not run in Firefox or Chrome with JRE 8-b83. Ordinary Java applets run fine. JavaFX applets run fine in IE. They also run fine with JRE 7 in all browsers.

      To reproduce, install JRE 8-b83 and go to the following URL in either Firefox or Chrome:
      http://download.oracle.com/otndocs/products/javafx/2.2/samples/Ensemble/index.html
