A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
After upgrading from JRE 7.21 to JRE 7.25, drop-down list boxes are no longer working properly. The list will drop down when one clicks on the box, but will disappear as soon as the mouse is moved - making it impossible to select list items with the mouse. Once selected, the list box does still respond to cursor keys.

REGRESSION. Last worked in version 6u45

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
1. Visit the page http://tafl.cyningstan.org.uk/applet.php using one of the browsers specified above.
2. Click on one of the drop-down list boxes in the applet.
3. Attempt to select one of the options shown.

EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
The applet should allow the user to click on one of the options in the drop-down list.
ACTUAL -
The drop down list disappears as soon as the mouse is moved, before the pointer can reach any items on the list.

REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.

CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
Click on the drop-down box. Use the up/down cursor keys to cycle through the options The list drop-down will disappear but the options can still be cycled through.
