We need to know how to identify which OS and compiler version in the binaries for all platforms in JDK8.

For instance, according to Tim Bell, there would be no way to identify the compiler version in the solaris binaries except the log file. As part of the platform and compiler upgrades, we need to know which Solaris compiler version is used after the solaris binaries are generated so that we can put it into test cases.
