This is at the request of RE (release engineering).
Developers may prefer to have a build continue no matter what and give a best effort..
On the other hand, RE would like to fail fast if anything at all is not correct.
It will save everyone from having to read large build logs to find the warning messages buried in there that ultimately mean the full build will not succeed.
